I was evaluated at a nearby orthodontist and told I could straighten my bottom teeth with metal braces for 8 months. Just looking to compare different practices. I had braces 30 years ago as a teen.
Hello,
Thanks for using Telexam! Treatment objectives can be adjusted to accommodate timeframes. If you are looking to just straighten the bottom, we can do this in 8 months, possibly sooner. However, there are occlusal problems you may have not been informed of and should be aware. Your lower has adapted to the way your upper is aligned and it’s not optimal. The stability of the correction will be compromised if that is not addressed. There are ways to do this without full braces, but they should be done. Did you want to call to schedule an appointment to discuss this and move forward, or schedule online?
Kind regards,
Dr. Lance
